Student dental plan: University of Toronto
Policy year is from September 1st 2024 to August 31st 2025 (fall/full-year studies)
January 1st 2025 to August 31st 2025 (winter studies)
Annual Maximum: $800
Preventive Services:
- Recall examinations, polishing, oral hygiene instruction and fluoride treatment are covered once per 12 months.
- Bitewing x-rays are covered once every 9 months.
- A complete exam (sometimes called a new patient exam) is covered once every 5 years.
- Scaling is covered up to 2 units per policy year.
Basic Restorative:
- Amalgam, tooth-coloured filling restorations, and temporary sedative fillings are covered.
Orthodontic services are not covered under this plan.
Certain exclusions and limitations may apply. Prior to dental treatment for work that is expected to cost $300 or more, students should submit a treatment plan obtained from their dentist to their insurance company for approval.
