Student dental plan: Seneca Polytechnic
Policy year is from September 1st 2024 to August 31st 2025 (fall/full-year studies)
January 1st 2025 to August 31st 2025 (winter studies)
Annual Maximum: $500
Basic & Preventive Services:
- 80% of one examination and consultation including any necessary x-rays and diagnostic services at the time of exam per policy year.
- 80% of one cleaning and one unit of polishing, includes up to 4 units of scaling (above the gum line).
- Fluoride treatments are limited to once per policy year.
Minor Restorative Services:
- 60% of the cost of amalgam, silicate, composite or tooth-coloured fillings and space maintainers.
Extractions & Oral Surgery
- 70% coverage of extractions and residual root removal including wisdom teeth (limit of two per policy year).
Major Restorative
- Endodontics, periodontics & major restorative are covered at 10%.
Orthodontic services are not covered under this plan.
Certain exclusions and limitations may apply. Prior to dental treatment for work that is expected to cost $300 or more, students should submit a treatment plan obtained from their dentist to their insurance company for approval.
