Dr. Max Dawabsheh

Dentist

Max was born in Ukraine and comes from a family of dentists. He spent his childhood in his mother’s dental clinic. Therefore, becoming a dentist was a natural choice for him. He prides himself in the ability to listen to his patients’ concerns and provide individualized treatments.

Max has successfully established a successful dental practice in Oakville that has become a cornerstone within the local community. Max is grateful for his patients and staff, his office has been recognized by the consumer choice award, winning the award for six years in a row under the category “dentists – Halton region”, underscoring the office’s dedication for quality care and service.

Dr. Max shows special interest in Aesthetics and cosmetic dentistry. Recently, he has attended a Postgraduate Program in Contemporary Aesthetic Dentistry from University of Minnesota. He is a graduate of Jordan University of science and Technology. He holds a masters degree from Edith Cowan University, Australia.

Max currently resides in Etobicoke. He enjoys spending his free time with his beautiful wife Kate and their two kids. He loves traveling. When its time to relax, you will always find a camera in my hand or a guitar.

Lindsey Nguyen

Licensed Dental Hygienist

Lindsey graduated from Georgian College in Barrie, and is a member of the Canadian Dental Hygienists Association as well as an associate member of the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario.

Lindsey’s warm and professional demeanor guarantees exceptional care for every patient. She feels immense satisfaction when she sees her patients’ confident, happy smiles after their treatments. Passionate about working with people from all walks of life, Lindsey aims to make every patient, whether on their first visit or a returning one, feel cherished and well-attended to at Thorncrest Dental.

In her free time, Lindsey values quality moments with her family. She also loves traveling and exploring new culinary experiences with her husband.

Carina Cerminara

Office admin. manager

Carina grew up in Oakville surrounded by her friends and family.

Carina is a dedicated professional known for her exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Carina excels at understanding and addressing the unique needs of each patient or client, always aiming to enhance their experience. Her warm, sociable nature allows her to connect easily with people, making them feel comfortable and supported.

Outside of the office she loves to go on hikes, cook/bake for her family, and play with her dogs.

AMBER BOWES

Licensed Dental Hygienist

Amber earned her degree from the three-year Advanced Dental Hygiene program at Georgian College in Barrie and holds registration with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario.

Amber has been in Dr. Max’s team since the early days in his Oakville office. She is deeply passionate about her role and enjoys engaging with her patients, assisting them in achieving optimal oral health.

She is recognized for her gentle approach and her dedication to ensuring patient comfort. Amber continually updates her skills through ongoing dental education, a commitment that underscores her dedication to patient care. Ensuring that her patients receive the highest quality of care is a priority for her.

Outside of work, Amber enjoys spending time with her family, embarking on road trips, traveling, hiking, and indulging her love for food.

Daniella Fernando

Dental assistant/ recptionist

Daniella is a highly motivated and caring dental assistant, currently enhancing her practical skills at Thorncrest Dental.

She has an impressive academic background, having graduated with honors from the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. Presently, she is pursuing a B.Sc Honors degree in Life Sciences at McMaster University.

Her work at the dental clinic is part of her strategic effort to further her career in dentistry. Daniella thrives in a learning environment, actively absorbing knowledge from her team and engaging with patients. Her enthusiasm for dentistry and her dedication to patient care make her a valuable member of any dental health team.

In her free time she’s either studying, tutoring students, or hanging out with family and friends, but her favorite thing in the world is spoiling her dog!

Emily Tavares

Dental assistant – Future dental hygienist

Emily is a dedicated and hardworking Level II dental assistant at Thorncrest Dental. She graduated from George Brown College’s dental assisting program in 2023 and has quickly become known for her passion and commitment to her work. She is currently studying to become a dental hygienist.

Emily is especially adept at ensuring that patients feel comfortable and safe during their dental procedures, often going above and beyond to provide exceptional care and support. Her patient-first approach and her ability to handle dental procedures with great professionalism are key attributes that contribute to her effectiveness in the dental care setting.

Outside of work, Emily enjoys traveling, going for walks, and spending quality time with her loved ones, which reflects her well-rounded and energetic personality.
